The relationship between Sean and I has from the absolute beginning revolved around travelling. For those of you who don’t know we actually met in Jerusalem, yes as in Israel, we were both traveling independently and happened to stay in the same hostel. I like to think he couldn’t live without me because he came to see me in Egypt a week later. If you want the expanded version check it out here. Here’s is our first photo together.
Throughout our relationship we have traveled all over the world, so the thought of no longer taking trips makes me very sad. It is a reality though that for awhile at least we are going to have to put those big trips on hold. But let me tell you we are probably going to be the parents totting a toddler around South Africa or Australia because honestly you can go anywhere with a child it just means a little more planning and flexibility.
So this brings me to our babymoon, I had grand ideas of going on one last crazy backpacking trip through a place like Mexico or Australia where you plan little and just roll with it, something I strive to be better at and something that Sean is amazing at. Those trips would be much better if we had at least a month to do them and because I only get two weeks off we went for a somewhat toned down holiday.
So in a week and a half, the day that Sean finishing his finals for school, we are flying off to Miami and then spending the next 2 weeks in the Florida Keys. Neither of us have been to Florida so this should be great fun. I hope to get a little sun, eat lots of food, read lots of books and dream of all the cold beers I am missing out on.
I hope to blog while we are gone even taking my weekly photos on some white sandy beach to make everyone jealous :)
So this post is inspired by the fact that I am ready to go on vacation, it is a sunny friday and I am tired of working for the day.
