Honestly is there anything cuter than a babies passport? I think not!
Since we are a traveling family I figured Sophie would be getting a passport within her first year but I didn’t expect to be getting her passport at 4 weeks old and boy was it an adventure. If I can avoid having to get passport pictures taken of a newborn again in my life that will be great.
Picture me all sweaty, pants falling down, on my hands and knees holding down a screaming Sophie while a very nice and patient man towers over us to get that ellusive shot. You would think that they, whoever they are, would be a little more lenient with baby passport pictures. I assure you they are not.
Regardless of their age the baby has to have their eyes open, mouth closed, ears showing and looking straight ahead. I can admit here that I was not prepared for the 45 minutes it took to get the picture above, yes you read that right 45 minutes. There were a couple close calls, a random pediatrician who attempted to help and then finally we got it!
I rewarded myself with a decaf latte while we waited for the pictures to be developed.
