A few weeks ago Sophie and I had stayed home all day because it was raining and gray outside, even though we had planned to go for a walk. When Sean got home from school that day he pointed out that because of where we live we can’t wait to for the sun to come out to go for a walk, or you will always be waiting.
So every day Sophie and I set out in her AMAZING stroller (more on the awesomeness that is her stroller to come) and we explore our neighborhood. Sometimes it is just a trip to the grocery store, walk to yoga and mommy infant group, a walk around the park or a warm cappuccino. Whatever the reason is we head out every day for at least an hour to get out of the house and get a little physical activity in our day.
Let me quickly explain the awesomeness that is our stroller. Thanks to my sister Jennifer who did all the research when she was in the market for a tandem, she suggested this stroller as she got a tandem one from the same company. The stroller has a great big basket underneath that actually fits a weeks worth of groceries so we no longer have to drive to the store. It folds up one handed and is small enough that I still have room for other things in the trunk. It is so easy to maneuver that I can hold a coffee in one hand and steer with the other hand. Even though we had to get an attachment for her car seat this stroller works from infant to toddler. Needless to say I love the stroller and it makes for very enjoyable walks.
Last week I decided that Sophie was probably big enough to ride in a swing so we all set out on a warm Sunday to head to the park. Unfortunately it was super busy so we didn’t want to wait to use the swing. I figured it would make more sense to go during the week when it probably wouldn’t be as busy.
A few days later on a cold windy day I was ready to go to the park again and try out the swings. I brought along some towels to dry the swings since I wasn’t going to wait around for the sun to come out. By the time we made it to the park the wind had died down enough for Sophie to go for a ride in a swing.
There are so many fun things to play with at this park and hopefully by the summer Sophie will be big enough to enjoy them.

Did you notice in all 3 pictures she is using her left arm to brace herself? She does the same on the changing table – left arm is how she braces.
it looks like she knows how to pump on the swing already – she is amazing!!
Too Cute!!
Glad that all the work we did to get that stroller for her is working out
