Royal Wedding

There was no way I was going to get up at 1:00 am and watch the Royal Wedding, I was excited but not that excited.  I figured I would just spend that friday being lazy with Sophie and we could sit on the floor and have a little tea party.

Turns out that my mom and sisters were going to get together and watch it so I convinced them to wait a week until we were down and we could all watch it together.  To sweeten the deal I told them I would bring some british treats for our viewing party.  I have a secret weapon, my mother in law is british so I knew I could get some good ideas from her.

We ended up having quite the spread that morning: bakewell tart, eccele cakes, scones, fruit and dip and cucumber tea sandwiches.  We also couldn’t celebrate a british wedding without tea served out of my fancy british china and mimosa all around.

It was so much fun watching all the build up to the big moment.  Laughing at the funny hats and just enjoying some quality time with my mom and sisters.  Sophie had a great time with all the good food and spending time with her Nama and aunties but then it was nap time.

Thanks to my little sister for hosting at her house so we could take advantage of her fancy new kitchen and her big tv.
