For the last few months we have been meeting our friends on Thursday mornings for story time at our local library. Sophie loves all of the songs we sing and especially loves seeing all the other babies.
A few weeks ago I signed Sophie up for the Summer Reading Club, I remember doing this when I was younger so I thought it would be fun to do this year. Plus at the end of the summer there is a little celebration and Sophie will get a little medal for completing a summer of reading. Cute, eh?
I hadn’t really thought about checking out books at the library until recently. Since we read to Sophie every night before she goes to bed for 15 minutes, it is nice to have a variety of books to read. Plus you get a chance to see the books she likes without having to buy them all.
At story time last week the librarian mentioned that babies can have their own library cards. How cute is that? So after picking out a stack of books I signed up Sophie for her very first library card. When we got home she spent 30 minutes on the floor with her library books checking them all out.

I love that all I have to do is say her name and she looks up and gives me a toothy grin.
